This scholarship was established in 1986 to honor Mary Alice Lindberg who was serving as President at the time of her death.

This $2,000 scholarship is awarded to a female of Madison County who is studying or will study in the next school year at an accredited college or technical school in the Huntsville/Madison County area or any Alabama county sharing a border with Madison County.

The purpose is to help the recipient needing further education. It will enable the woman to provide a better life for herself, her family, and to contribute to the community.
